Attorney Profiles

Eugene Wishnic

New Jersey native Eugene Wishnic is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, which is a designation achieved by approximately 2% of the practicing attorneys in NJ.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in both English and Communications in 1989 from Rutgers University in New Brunswick and his Juris Doctorate in 1992 from Rutgers School of Law in Camden. Since 1992, he has focused his practice on representing accident victims and honing his trial skills and has been aggressively protecting the rights of his clients ever since. Since becoming an attorney in 1992, Eugene has developed a fluency in Spanish that has allowed him to better serve his client base among the local Latin community.

Mr. Wishnic served as President of the Middlesex County Bar Association (MCBA) from 2020-2021, currently serves as President of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association (MCTLA), and is a Trustee of the Middlesex County Bar Foundation (MCBF) and serves on the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ, formerly ATLA-NJ). He is a contributor to both NJAJ-PAC and AAJ-PAC and a is member of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA), the American Association for Justice (AAJ, formerly ATLA), the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) and the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey (TANJ).

In addition to having served as co-chair of the MCBA Municipal Court Practice Committee from 2008-2018, he is an active participant in the Rutgers University Student Legal Services/MCBA Attorney Referral Program and regularly serves as a judge of the finals of the Regional High School Mock Trial competition. He is admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey, New York and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey.

Lee Jerushalmy

Lee Jerushalmy is the Managing Partner at Wishnic & Jerushalmy. He graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn College (C.U.N.Y.) with a history degree in 1989 and continued his education at The Hofstra University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1992.

He is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York and has handled matters in both states since 1993. Lee represents clients in all manner of accident-related claims including motor vehicle, slip/trip and fall and workers’ compensation. He served as a member of the Middlesex County Assignment Judge’s Civil Lawyers Committee from 2014-1017 and is a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association and the New Jersey Association for Justice.

Andrew McInerney

Andrew T. McInerney is the senior associate of Wishnic & Jerushalmy, where he represents individuals in personal injury matters.  After graduating cum laude from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of Arts in English, he earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. While at Case Western, Andrew served as an Executive Notes Editor for Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine and participated in the Appellate Practice Program. Before joining the firm, Andrew worked in the legal education industry, and as a judicial clerk.

Andrew is admitted to practice in New Jersey and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Middlesex County Bar Association, the New Jersey Association for Justice, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.

Since joining the firm, Andrew has grown to become a skilled litigator, and has been designated as a Super Lawyers Rising Star honoree for the years 2022 and 2023.

Nicholas Malaniak

Nicholas D. Malaniak is an associate at Wishnic & Jerushalmy, where he represents individuals in personal injury and municipal court matters. After graduating cum laude from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, he earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in Newark. While at Rutgers Law, Nicholas served as a Teaching Assistant and Academic Success Program Teaching Fellow and participated in the International Human Rights Clinic.

Nicholas is admitted to practice in New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Middlesex County Bar Association.

Oliver
Encarnacion

Oliver Encarnacion is an Associate at Wishnic & Jerushalmy, providing representation in personal injury and municipal court matters. A native of the Dominican Republic, raised in Perth Amboy, Oliver is fluent in Spanish. Oliver graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in English and earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, where he was a member of the Legislative Law Journal and participated in the Equal Justice Clinic. 

Oliver has served as a Judicial Clerk in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Middlesex County and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the Middlesex County Bar Association, and the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. Prior to joining WJL, Oliver gained extensive litigation experience, evaluating claims, analyzing and developing discovery, preparing pleadings and motions, conducting and defending depositions, negotiating settlements, and appearing in court.
