Eugene Wishnic

Eugene Wishnic, a New Jersey native, is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney as approved by the Supreme Court of New Jersey — an honor achieved by only about 2% of practicing attorneys in the state. He earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Communications from Rutgers University in 1989, followed by a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law in Camden in 1992.

Since his admission to the bar in 1992, Eugene has dedicated his career to representing accident victims and refining his trial advocacy skills. Since becoming an attorney, he developed a fluency in Spanish to serve the local Latin community more effectively. His commitment to agressive client representation has been the cornerstone of his practice for over three decades.

Eugene’s leadership in the legal community is extensive. He served as President of the Middlesex County Bar Association (2020-2021) and as President of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association (2021-2022). He is an Officer of the Middlesex County Bar Foundation and has served on the Board of Governors for the New Jersey Association for Justice. His professional affiliations include the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey.

An active contributor to legal education and community service, Eugene has co-chaired the MCBA Municipal Court Practice Committee (2008-2018), participated in the Rutgers University Student Legal Services/MCBA Attorney Referral Program, and regularly judges the finals of the Regional High School Mock Trial competition. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Lee Jerushalmy

Lee Jerushalmy is the Managing Partner at Wishnic & Jerushalmy. He graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn College (C.U.N.Y.) with a history degree in 1989 and continued his education at The Hofstra University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1992.

He is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York and has handled matters in both states since 1993. Lee represents clients in all manner of accident-related claims including motor vehicle, slip/trip and fall and workers’ compensation. He served as a member of the Middlesex County Assignment Judge’s Civil Lawyers Committee from 2014-1017 and is a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association and the New Jersey Association for Justice.

Andrew McInerney

Andrew T. McInerney is the senior associate of Wishnic & Jerushalmy, where he represents individuals in personal injury matters. After graduating cum laude from Kenyon College with a Bachelor of Arts in English, he earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. While at Case Western, Andrew served as an Executive Notes Editor for Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine and participated in the Appellate Practice Program. Before joining the firm, Andrew worked in the legal education industry, and as a judicial clerk.

Andrew is admitted to practice in New Jersey and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Middlesex County Bar Association, the New Jersey Association for Justice, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.

Since joining the firm, Andrew has grown to become a skilled litigator and has been recognized and designated as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine every year since 2022.

Christopher S.
Scott

Christopher S. Scott is an associate at Wishnic & Jerushalmy, LLC where his practice encompasses all aspects of personal injury litigation and municipal court representation.

Before joining the firm, Christopher served as a Staff Attorney in the Public Benefits unit of New Jersey Legal Services, where he managed a high-volume caseload involving SSI/SSDI, welfare, SNAP, Medicaid, and unemployment benefit denials, and represented clients in administrative appeals before state and federal agencies.

Christopher also clerked for two judges of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division in Hudson and Essex County. Earlier in his legal career, while attending law school, Christopher served as a law clerk in the Juvenile Division and Preliminary Hearing Unit of the District Attorney’s Office in Pennsylvania where he represented the Commonwealth.

Prior to pursuing his legal career, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and served as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Christopher earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School and his B.A. in Law & Society from American University. He was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in March 2024 and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Hudson County Bar Association, the Middlesex County Bar Association, and the New Jersey Association for Justice.

John Scott McHenry

John Scott McHenry is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. His practice focuses on civil litigation and plaintiff’s personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, premises liability, and negligence actions.

After graduating with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida, John earned both his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in Camden and his M.B.A. from Rutgers Business School in 2020. Before entering private practice, John served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mark B. Shoemaker in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Gloucester County.

Since his admission to the bar, John has represented clients throughout the litigation process, from initial case evaluation through trial preparation and resolution. His litigation experience includes employment law and defense-side commercial litigation. That background provides him with valuable insight into how insurance adjusters and defense counsel assess liability, damages, and potential risk exposure, a perspective he applies when advocating for injured clients.

Before beginning his legal career, John served honorably in the United States Army as a Specialist (E-4), team leader, and 19D Cavalry Scout with the 2-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. During his military service, he earned the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Ribbon. The discipline, leadership, and accountability developed during his Army service continue to inform his approach to client advocacy and litigation.

In addition to his New Jersey bar admission, John is an Accredited Attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).

A few months back I was ticketed in Closter, NJ for driving on my cell phone. I was referred to Nick Malaniak from Wishnic and Jerushalmy through some people in a local Facebook group. Nick walked me through every scenario of both accepting or fighting the ticket. Ultimately I decided to take it to trial and Nick was able to get the entire ticket dismissed. PS- Several of my family members are attorneys but it was definitely worth paying the legal fees to get out of something that would stain my record for 10 years. I wouldn't recommend anyone else in NJ for traffic offenses other than Nick and his firm.
